The Carl Gustaf M3 Recoilless Rifle, produced by Saab Bofors Dynamics, is a modern recoilless rifle used by various military units. Surprisingly, Saab, known for producing cars and jets, is also involved in the production of this weapon.
The M3 MAAWS (Multi-role Anti-armor Anti-personnel Weapon System) serves as the standard issue recoilless rifle for the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). Elite units like the 75th Rangers Regiment and the Navy SEALs are among its users. The VFC US SOCOM M3 MAAWS airsoft grenade launcher faithfully replicates this USSOCOM recoilless rifle.
VFC has constructed this airsoft grenade launcher using lightweight nylon fiber reinforced polymer. While the real recoilless rifle weighs over 10 kilograms, VFC has managed to keep the weight of this airsoft replica at around 4 kilograms when loaded. This weight reduction allows for easy fielding on airsoft fields, although important moving components and the inner tube are reinforced with metals.
The airsoft replica operates realistically and is compatible with a variety of ammunition types made by VFC. It also includes a picatinny optics rail, providing the option to attach different optics to enhance the performance of this airsoft grenade launcher.
