About Real Gun

The MK18 is a type of rifle that was developed for the United States Special Operations Command (SOCOM) as part of the SOPMOD (Special Operations Peculiar Modification) program. It is a variant of the M4 carbine, which is a shorter and lighter version of the M16 rifle.

The MK18 rifle features a shortened barrel length of approximately 10.3 inches (26 cm), making it a compact and maneuverable weapon suitable for close quarters combat (CQC) and other specialized operations. It is chambered for the 5.56x45mm NATO cartridge, the same as the M4 and M16 rifles, and typically uses detachable box magazines with a standard capacity of 30 rounds.

One of the distinguishing characteristics of the MK18 is its use of a free-floating quad rail handguard system. This type of handguard allows for the attachment of various accessories such as optics, foregrips, and lights, providing customization options for the user. The MK18 also features a collapsible stock and can be equipped with a sound suppressor to reduce muzzle noise.
