This pistol rocks!!!
I'm generally speaking not a huge 1911 fan. But, since I couldn't seem to find any retailer that had the H&K Mk. 23 by KWA in stock, I decided to go with the WE Knight Hawk which was a close second anyway.
Things I love:
The look and feel!
It's heavy! Very heavy.
With or without the mag this thing is just so heavy. But that's a good thing in my opinion. It's not so heavy that you can't shoot accurately either... well I don't know about you, but I can shoot accurately with it.
I also love the 'golfball' dimpling on it. It gives this piece a unique custom and at least in my opinion custom operator kind of look. It doesn't look issue for any standard soldier and I'm OK with that, I prefer to have a custom operator look when I'm on the field, that's kind of the theme with my team as well.
The action is smooth as silk and somehow WE has got a nice light trigger on this that makes shooting a breeze.
Things I'm not so fond of:
The magazine.
I know that a real-steel 1911 holds 7+1 in the chamber, but 15 BBs is awfully low capacity. Especially considering my KWA PTP M9 holds 23 and all my team mates have pistols with greater capacities.
But... it's true what they say... if you're down to your pistol, you're pretty well out of luck anyway. (And I guess it means I'll have to get at least 1 if not two more mags)
