WELL G96D AW .338 Sniper Rifle with Scope and Bipod (MB08D, Olive Drab)

The box:

A simple yet quite sturdy box made from carton and styrofoam. Holds the weapon sturdily in place and works as a nice storagebox. Other than that it is simply a box.

The Weapon:

When you get the gun, it is disassembled, meaning that you will have to install the actual gun into the stock. The stock is extremely well made and has a nice hefty feel to it, being sturdy and offering good grip. It stays well in place in both folded and unfolded configuration and offers very good adjustment capability. The little foot at tha rear is a nice touch but nostly unnecessary for the ranges used in Airsoft. It is spring return and made from metal.

The gun itself is made from metal. The barrel, reciever and all the mechanic (as in sears, hopupchamber, charging handle and cylinder) are made from cast metal, being of surprisingly good quality. The piston and springguide are made from sturdy and very good plastic, that handles the spring very well. The inner barrel is made from brass and is, after some polishing and cleaning (recommended for the whole gun), rather acurate. The outer barrel has some very nice grooves in it, that give the gun a nice look and feel.

The Scope:

The scope that comes with the gun is well made and is easy to install and easy to zero in. It has a clear sight and good eye relief. One of the better scopes available, and absolutely one of the better to come as an included acessoir.

The Bipod:

The bipod is made from metal and is spring eject, very sturdy and actually quite good. It is a nice way to relieve the arms from the heft of the rifle.

The magazine:

Is made from metal and plastic, holds about 25 BBs and is of acceptable to good quality. Is compatible with Maruzen APS Type 96 as is the whole gun.

Performance:

Out of the box the gun shoots at around 140- 150 mps (0,2g bb), presuming that it is all well tightened (this is easy to do and well discribed all over the internet.).
The gun is easy to cock and the hopup is understandable, reasonably easy to set to a good position. With a well tightened rifle and good bbs with a well adjusted hopup the gun is reasonably acurate all up to 70+ meters.

Upgradability:

The weapon is a good clone of the Maruzen type 96 and will take all the customparts for it, is therefore very, very upgradable, easily able to exceed 220 mps with 0,2g bb. There are many fabricants for after market parts, all over.

All in All:

A good rifle, easily worth every penny. With some care an acceptable and respectable sniper rifle that is very upgradable. A good rifle for both beginners and advanced players, well discribed all over the internet.

i am very pleased with this gun it is very cheap and comes with an excellent scope, proffesional one and a sturdy (sometimes al little wobbily though) bipod, it also comes with a speedloader, an unjamming rod, a sling, and lens protectors, it is quite acurate and powerful however not quite as powerful as as i thought, overall a great gun and value though, thank you
