Product Description:

VFC M249 SAW Machine Gun GBB Airsoft
The FN Herstal Minimi, known as the M249 SAW or Squad Automatic Weapon in the United States Military since its adoption in 1984, holds a special place in the hearts of real steel shooters and airsoft enthusiasts alike. While the M249 has been available in airsoft for some time, with various versions from G&P, A&K, and Classic Army, recent attempts to enhance its realism have emerged.
Tokyo Marui introduced the NGRS (Next Generation Recoil Shock) version of the MK46 MOD 0, which incorporates simulated recoil and realistic operation. Following suit, VFC released the MK48 MOD 1, focusing on making it lightweight and suitable for skirmishes. The deluxe version even includes ammo belt vibration, further enhancing the experience.
Although the VFC MK48 MOD1 may not be directly based on the FN Minimi or M249, they all share the commonality of being AEGs (Automatic Electric Guns). While electric airsoft machine guns have their advantages, many enthusiasts feel that they lack the impact and immersion of a real machine gun. The longing for more "oomph" is a shared sentiment among airsoft players.
VFC has taken a significant step in addressing this desire by introducing the VFC M249 GBB. This groundbreaking airsoft machine gun is the world's first production green gas-powered, open-bolt gas blowback M249. While VFC humbly refers to it as the first M249 GBB, it could be rightfully considered the first gas blowback in a belt-fed machine gun form.
The M249 GBB by VFC features accurate markings and a mostly aluminum alloy construction to ensure a lightweight build. The essential weight and bearing parts are made of steel, ensuring durability and solidity. It also offers realistic takedown and disassembly, ideal for those interested in learning the mechanics of an actual M249 LMG.
Internally, unlike conventional gas airsoft guns, the VFC M249 has separate gas reservoir and BB magazine compartments. The gas is held in the M4/AR15 magazine-style gas tank, while a lightweight polymer magazine is inserted into the top cover of the feed tray. This design allows for ease of operation while maintaining realism. Reloading requires lifting the top cover, adding to the authenticity. The gun provides consistent and accurate shooting performance, even with heavier BBs.
The shooting experience with the VFC M249 is impressive. Its lightweight construction, weighing around 4 KGs with the M4/AR15 style magazine gas reservoir attached, allows for easy shouldering and reduces shooter fatigue. The felt recoil and vibrating dummy ammo belt further enhance the immersive realism. Additionally, the VFC M249 features a dry fire function, adding a touch of fun outside of airsoft gameplay.
For those seeking the most realistic belt-fed airsoft machine gun, the VFC M249 GBB is the ultimate choice. Its innovative design and attention to detail offer an unparalleled level of authenticity and immersion.
