The Tanaka S&W M360J Sakura Model Gun faithfully replicates the current sidearm used by the Japanese Coast Guard. Adopted in 2006, the M360J Sakura is modeled after the Smith & Wesson SC/PD family of scandium aluminum alloy J-Frame revolvers. These revolvers are renowned for their lightweight yet robust construction. Unlike most J-frame revolvers, the M360J Sakura features an elongated grip for improved ergonomics and a more comfortable hold. Additionally, it includes a lanyard hoop, a requirement for both the Japanese Coast Guard and the Japanese Police Force, which also utilizes the same model sidearm.
Tanaka has meticulously crafted this replica, resulting in a visually stunning piece that could easily be mistaken for a metal firearm at first glance. However, despite its realistic appearance, the revolver is actually made of high-quality heavyweight ABS plastic.
