However, certain reputable real steel companies have released custom or modernized versions of the AK platform, with Rifle Dynamics being one such company that offers AKs with a contemporary twist. The EMG Rifle Dynamics Licensed Quickhatch AK PDW Airsoft AEG Rifle is based on the actual Rifle Dynamics Quickhatch AK PDW, which serves the specialized role of a PDW (Personal Defense Weapon) within their product line.
Drawing inspiration from the original AK PDW, the AKSU, Rifle Dynamics created a similar-sized firearm that incorporates modern design elements and accessories. The Quickhatch features an M-LOK compatible handguard with a Picatinny top rail, allowing compatibility with a wide range of accessories such as red dots, flashlights, lasers, and more. The rear trunnion boasts an M1913 Picatinny rail to accommodate rail-compatible stock options, including QD sling mounts, folding stocks, and full-sized stock tubes. Customizability is a key aspect of this PDW, providing users with ample opportunities to personalize their setup.
