I have been using this for about 2 years now, and I have just improved it with a Guarder metal kit and high-flow valves. I can say that I count on this no matter when, and it is a pleasure to pull it out of the holster every time.
(LONG AND IN-DEPTH REVIEW, BRACE FOR A LONG READING!)

I bought it in Osaka, Japan, and when I opened it the black finish on the box and gun was welcoming. Everything was there (manual, targets, cleaning rod etc.) as it is supposed to be. It is my first gas gun, and it probably will be my last. I won't buy another gas gun for a loooong time, that's for sure. I would say the build quality outperforms KJW pistols, actually.

In design terms, I really enjoy it. Compared to the Glock, it has a visible hammer (good for those intimidating "time to die" moments, as well as showing if it's loaded or not), it has an easy to access safety which doesn't lock the trigger, but disables it (pull the trigger back, nothing happens. (the Glock doesn't have a safety at all)). The slide lock lever is easily accessible when firing, and the magazine release is pushed easier with the middle finger than the thumb. This is practical because you don't have to move down your thumb, you just move your middle finger slightly up, and therefore you won't lose your hand emplacement, and thus removing the magazine gets faster than using your thumb.
The pistol is ambidextrous too, the safety is on both sides and the magazine release can be switched from right handed to left handed! Practical functions for those lefties. Only downside would be the slide lock, but it can with a little training be used with the index finger.
Ergonomy is nice as well, it has a nice back pointing grip, and the trigger guard is big enough to use gloves with (just pull down the hammer, and the trigger pulls back as well, leaving quite some space there). Try that with a Glock...
The grip itself is quite wide, it's definitly rounder than the Glock and the 1911 pistols. At the top of the grip, there is a thumb rest, which allows you to hold the gun with two hands with the right thumb (if you're right handed) over the left thumb and reach the safety and slide lock lever very easily, and the slide lock lever still being out of the way when using the gun normally.

Let's talk about the quality.
It is not a full metal gas blowback, but I say what I've heard; "Rather good quality plastic than shitty pot metal". And this pistol proves it. Even though it has a plastic slide, body and outer barrel, it can still take Green gas without any problems at all. (It is probably because of the design of the slide, as a big part of it is "missing" to show the outer barrel, making it more resistant to harder blowback.)

The internals are of course all metal. There's nothing to complain about here, but I want you to know one thing:
The hop-up is NOT adjustable. BUT, before you say anything, the hop us is perfectly adjusted and the gun is very accurate. As a side note, I rather have a fixed hop up that's perfectly set rather than an adjustable that breaks more easily and maybe changes the setting over time. Just sayin'.

The small pins and stuff (safety, slide locker, hammer, and the lever for taking off the slide) are made out of metal, and performs flawlessly. After many, many field strips and disassemblies, the only thing they are missing is the colour, especially the hammer's front side, the one facing the slide. Other than that, nothing (except one thing, about that later) seems to be flawed or showing signs of breakage at all.

The price is another factor. I got this in Japan for about 135 dollars with a spare magazine. It won't get any cheaper than that!

Performance, then?
In it's stock form, it can take Green gas, as mentioned earlier. I haven't tested it in a chronograph with stock valves and Green gas, but it does the job really good as a sidearm. The felt blowback is not that much with a plastic slide, but what it lacks in power is compensated in speed. The cycling between each shot is very fast, and realigning the pistol between the shots are no problem. The trigger feels sturdy and have a nice feedback when firing, and the pistol itself feels good and there's no wobble anywhere. You don't think about that it has a plastic slide when you fire it, that's for sure.
The magazines feeds well and I have never had any problems with them. The lips are quite thick and shouldn't brake unless you drop the mag on them. Just make sure to store the magazines with a little bit of gas in them, or they start to leak. However, if they do, just fill them up completely and wait for the gas to stop leaking. Store them in that condition (don't touch them!) for a couple of days and it's fixed. Easy!

This also fits perfectly in a Blackhawk! SERPA holster. Just wanted to tell you that.

The cons (hey, all guns have those!):
1. The trigger spring broke after about a year. This was very unfortunate, as I was right in a game. When I opened it at home, the spring showed to be kind of weak anyway, actually. I replaced it with a spring from a buckle, which I had to mod a little, but it turned out better than before. Just think of this when you buy it, that this spring MAY snap.
2. The sling mount in the handle is plastic. It seems to do the job very well though, as I always use it with a Blackhawk! retention lanyard, but it seems odd to make this piece in plastic. Just wanted you to know.
3. Trademarks is not that realistic, but that's just a con if you care about them.
4. There aren't many accessories to it, at least not airsoft replica ones. There are real steel ones if you are willing to spend that amount of money (Again, this is just a concern if you plan of accessorize it).

Dos and don'ts with the Marui M9:
Remember to clean and lubricate it often. Use a soft cloth, preferably white to see if there are a lot of dirt.
Silicone on valves (quite a lot on the magazine ones), and gun grease on the slide tracks. Don't use silicone oil on the inner slide tracks, this tend to catch dirt and it solidifies slightly, and the blowback suffers. You can use gun oil on these tracks to make the blowback faster, but make sure to use VERY LITTLE and ONLY on the tracks. DO NOT use gun oil near the valves!!!

I also would like to say that I forgot the gun in it's holster (not the SERPA one) at a game. When I came home, it started to rain. A lot. It wasn't until the next day (it had been raining like h*ll all night) that I realized that I've forgot the M92 at the game.
Outside. In the rain.
It was still raining a little when I came back, and I quickly took the gun out pf the holster to check it. I was thinking: "If I can fire this gun now, after all that rain, it will prove that this is a seriously reliable gun."
I shaked it with the barrel facing down to clear some water out of the barrel, and tested. Bang. Fired a BB and some water. Fired again. The shot went well. After a night of laying in the rain, it worked like nothing had happened.

And something about my extra parts:
With high-flow valves, this fires at about 360 fps or 110 m/s. The ones I use are the ACTION ones.
The guarder metal kit fits nice, however, my slide seemed to be a little narrow for the M92, as it got stuck at the end of the cycle each time. I took a pair of pliers and bended it outwards, and then it worked. Just think of this if you plan of getting a Guarder metal kit. They are nice!

As a conclusion, all I can say that I will probably never sell this gun or buy a new one for a long, long time. It proves reliable until it's last breath, and as long as you have gas and BB's in the magazine, it won't let you down. For 123 US dollars (122$ on Redwolfairsoft), you can't go wrong. It is a real workhorse, and I really enjoy the design. Sits in my dropleg SERPA holster every time I go to a game. And as the pistol of choice within the US army and police, this is a pistol I highly recommend to all airsofters, beginners and pros alike.
Ladies and gentlemen, the Tokyo Marui M92F Military Model.
